The company’s goal
is to develop activities and execute projects that involve every phase in the industry of hydrocarbon exploration and exploitation (upstream), as well as to provide consulting services in related matters.
The company’s personnel consists of highly skilled, qualified scientists, with international experience in the oil and gas industry.
HELPE Upstream has created over the last years a very promising portfolio of ten selected blocks in Greek territory, where it is estimated that there are important, commercially exploitable deposits of hydrocarbons to be discovered.

was founded in 2015 and is a wholly owned subsidiary (100%) of Hellenic Petroleum Exploration and Production of Hydrocarbons Holding S.A.

Participating in the discovery and production of hydrocarbons
in Greece, which will decisively contribute to Greece’s energy security, as well as to the country’s “social solidarity between generations fund” and gradually make both Greece and EU less energy dependent on imports from third countries (85% and 75% respectively).
Creating important added value for the HELPE Group
by using own hydrocarbon reserves through successful exploration activities and through optimal portfolio management of the lease areas.
Effectively participating in the transformation of the energy mixture,
by tracing productive fields of natural gas to exploit in aim to strengthen energy transition.
